THE Mail

Chapter 3: Confirmation.

Today It's been two days since I've been in Germany. And going on the Internet for the first time in this country, I get the most amazing news ever; I'm confirmed a place at theUniversity of St Andrews! Woohoo! I no longer have to wait for that dreadful answer.

Now there's a second very important mail I'm awaiting, the one from accomodation.
I've applied for Standard Catered, as so many other people apparently. The thing is there are two different kinds of Hals of Residences for SC : the Older ones, close to the university and quite charming, and the new ones, further away and quite ugly. Theses last ones appear to be infamous. So now I'm really waiting to get a reply saying I'm in "St" something!!

But overall I'm already pretty ecstatic that I have no more worries to pay as of being accepted after all or not.

Other than that, in two words, Germany ist sehr toll und I can feel das ich viel Deutsch am learning. All that thanx to mostly the Children of the first family I'm staying at. Playing games and reading those books for toddlers are great for learning!

Making sure I am in

Chapter 2: Being firmly accepted.

I realise this chapter should have preceded my getting ready for university, but I've known since the previous chapter that I wouldn't have had time to get ready after being accepted. Because of holidays and all. Speaking of which, I will directly write my summer schedule, you will be able to see it's quite full.

Anyway, today the admissions center replied to my forwarded grades and requested to have me fax a copy of my report card. So that's what I just did. I hope they'll be able to transcript my grades correctly into ABCDEF... because otherwise I might not get in! Even though I checked, and I have 2 A's and 2 B's as final grades in 4 of the 5 important subjects. That's quite amazing if you ask me!

Anyway... I'm going to finish up everything I need to do before going to Werchter (WERCHTER BABY!!!)
